Fubo closed out the second quarter of 2025 with 1.356 million paid subscribers. The latest update confirms a subscriber loss between April and June of this year.
Considering Fubo ended the first quarter of the year with 1.47 million subscribers, the live TV service lost more than 100,000 subscribers during the most recent quarter.
Although a loss, it is less of a loss than previously expected. As explained when the company released its preliminary quarterly results in July, Fubo had originally anticipated a decline to between 1.225 million and 1.255 million paid subscribers.
With the final number coming in at almost 1.36 million, it is much higher than Fubo had anticipated for the end the second quarter of 2025.
“The second quarter of 2025 marked a pivotal milestone in Fubo’s business,” said David Gandler, co-founder and CEO, Fubo. “Our continued focus on delivering choice and flexibility to consumers positions us well to capitalize on emerging opportunities as the traditional content landscape continues to evolve.”
On a year-over-year basis, Fubo ended Q2 2024 with 1.45 million subscribers. This resulted in a loss of almost 100,000 over the past twelve months.
In line with its previously released preliminary results, Fubo also confirmed 349,000 paid Rest of World (ROW) subscribers for the end of the second quarter.
Again, although lower than the 354,000 paid ROW subscribers reported for the first quarter of 2025, it is higher than the 325,000-335,000 paid ROW subscriber range Fubo originally anticipated.
“We are pleased with our second quarter results including top-line outperformance,” said Edgar Bronfman Jr., executive chairman, Fubo. “We continue to innovate our sports entertainment streaming platform striving for unparalleled product quality and a frictionless content experience, and look forward to keeping shareholders updated on our progress.”
