Earlier this year, Charter announced the launch of two new streaming TV packages, Spectrum TV Stream and Spectrum Stream Latino. Today, following a new distribution renewal deal with NBCUniversal, Charter confirmed that a number of NBCU-owned channels are set to be added to the Spectrum TV Stream lineup soon.
The channels now due to be added to Spectrum TV Stream include:
- Bravo
- CNBC
- CNBC World
- E!
- MSNBC
- Oxygen
- SYFY
- Universal Kids.
As a reminder, Spectrum TV Stream is offered as a budget-friendly TV solution for Spectrum Internet customers. Priced at $39.99 a month, Spectrum TV Stream provides access to more than 85 live TV channels, with the lineup already including the likes of A&E, AMC, BBC America, CNN, Discovery, Disney Channel, FOX News, FX, Hallmark, HGTV, National Geographic, TCM, and TLC, among others.
Along with the addition of the NBCU-owned channels to Spectrum TV Stream, the new renewal agreement between Charter and NBCUniversal also ensures that Charter’s live TV packages that already included NBCUniversal’s channels will continue to carry those channels in the future.
As part of the same agreement, Charter also confirmed that Spectrum TV Select customers will soon get access to Peacock Premium at no additional cost, resulting in another $7.99 a month in savings.
The Peacock Premium subscription joins a long list of streaming services that have become available to Spectrum TV Select video customers over the past year, including AMC+, BET+, Discovery+, Disney+, ESPN+, Max, Paramount+, and ViX.
