Charter is continuing to merge streaming services with its live TV packages, and the latest to join the gang is Peacock. Spectrum TV Select customers will soon get access to Peacock at no additional cost.

Peacock offers two main plans to choose from, Premium and Premium Plus, and it is the standard Peacock Premium plan that’s included with the Charter deal. Peacock Premium normally costs $7.99 a month and this will mean Spectrum TV Select customers can expect to sit through ad breaks when using the standalone service.

For those that would prefer an ad-free streaming experience, Charter has confirmed video customers will gain the option in the future to upgrade their free Premium subscription to an ad-free Premium Plus subscription for an additional monthly fee.

In 2025, Charter also plans to offer its broadband-only customers the option to bundle either Peacock Premium tier with their internet plan.

Once Peacock Premium beomes available, Spectrum TV Select video customers will have access to up to $65 in direct-to-consumer monthly streaming savings. Along with Peacock, and following the addition of Max and Discovery+ in September, the list of streaming services available to Spectrum TV Select video customers also includes AMC+, BET+, Disney+, ESPN+, Paramount+, and ViX.

The availability of Peacock Premium to Spectrum video customers at no additional charge was announced as part of a wider distribution agreement with NBCUniversal.

With the renewal of our long-standing partnership with NBCUniversal, we now have completed deals with every major programmer to create better flexibility and greater value to our customers by including DTC streaming apps with their Spectrum TV service, at no extra cost,” said Tom Montemagno, Executive Vice President, Programming Acquisition, Charter Communications, which operates the Spectrum brand.

The wider renewal agreement also ensures Charter will continue to carry Bravo, CNBC, CNBC World, E!, MSNBC, Universo, Oxygen, SYFY, Telemundo Network, Universal Kids, USA Network, The Golf Channel, NBC, NBC Sports Regional Networks, New England Cable News, and Telemundo.
