EarthxTV is being added to DirecTV and DirecTV Stream’s channel lineups, and just in time for Earth Day 2023. As is usually the case with new DirecTV channel additions, EarthxTV is also making its way to U-verse as well.
Considering it only launched in 2022, EarthxTV is a relatively new channel, and one that provides viewers with content covering a range of topics including biodiversity, climate challenges, sustainability, and community.
After agreeing distribution deals in Europe and Latin America, EarthxTV became available to customers signed up to Charter’s Spectrum TV Select plan in October of last year. According to DirecTV, however, this latest distribution agreement marks the first nationwide launch of EarthxTV across the entire U.S.
EarthxTV will officially be added to DirecTV, DirecTV Stream and U-verse on April 15th. With Earth Day taking place each year on April 22nd, this means DirecTV users will be able to tune in and watch EarthxTV content throughout the week leading up to the 53rd annual celebration of Earth Day.
DirecTV recently rebranded its main TV service to offer an Internet package that now somewhat competes for streaming-based consumers with DirecTV Stream. Both DirecTV streaming options provide access to the same four main packages to choose from, but differ in terms of price and device support.
Regardless of whether signing up to DirecTV Stream or DirecTV via Internet, EarthxTV is one of the channels that’s available with any DirecTV plan including the cheapest Entertainment package. Once it goes live on April 15th, EarthxTV can be found on DirecTV via Internet and DirecTV Stream on channel 262. For U-verse customers, EarthxTV can be found on channel 1267.
