DirecTV MySports has now added NBC affiliates in 140 markets, including New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. MySports is DirecTV’s sports-focused live TV package, offering access to more than 40 sports channels and local stations.
With the NBC affiliates now available, subscribers will have access to more live sports content, including Premier League matches. One of the first of which will be this weekend’s clash between Aston Villa and Chelsea, which kicks off at 12:30 PM ET / 9:30 AM PT on NBC on Saturday.
The addition of the NBC affiliates follows the addition of more Fox affiliates earlier this month. The recent expansion of Fox affiliates resulted in MySports offering access to Fox in all 187 markets where DirecTV currently carries the network.
While the new NBC affiliates are not quite as inclusive, the addition in 140 markets is a significant step. Furthermore, DirecTV has been very quick in adding new stations, so it is likely even more markets will see their local NBC go live in due course.
