For the past few months, DirecTV has been offering a $10 discount to new subscribers. This deal reduces the cost of any DirecTV Stream package by $10 a month for the first three months, resulting in a total saving of $30 over three months.

In addition to that deal, new Choice and Ultimate subscribers can also now add DirecTV Sports Pack to their package when signing up and get the first month of the add-on for free. Considering Choice costs $99.99 a month ($89.99 with the limited-time discount), this is the cheapest way to sign up to DirecTV Stream and get the first DirecTV Sports Pack month for free.

For reference, the free month isn’t automatically added when signing up to DirecTV Stream, so new subscribers will need to manually add DirecTV Sports Pack under Specials during the sign-up process and while customizing the package.

DirecTV Sports Pack is DirecTV Stream’s main sports add-on. The premium upgrade costs $14.99 a month and unlocks access to additional sports channels, including NFL Network and NFL RedZone, making it a good option for those looking to add more live sports content to their live TV package.

As is always the case with promotions like this, the add-on will auto-renew at the $14.99 a month rate after the first month, unless canceled.

Speaking of the price, it is also worth noting that DirecTV Stream’s live TV packages are due to increase in price early next month. Beginning November 5th, the cost of Choice will increase to $108.99 a month while the cost of Ultimate increases to $119.99 a month.
