F1 TV Premium Tier with Multiview

Formula 1 fans now have another option when considering a subscription to stream race-related content throughout the year. Even though the new ‘F1 TV Premium’ tier costs most than the other F1 TV plans, it does provide some additional features which may make the higher price worth it to some fans.

In terms of the price, the new F1 TV Premium plan costs $16.99 a month. To put the price into perspective, the existing F1 TV Pro plan costs $10.99 a month, and the cheaper F1 TV Access plan costs just $3.49 a month.

If considering signing up on an annual basis to save on the cost, the F1 TV Premium annual plan is priced at $129.99 a year. This compares to $84.99 a year for the F1 TV Pro annual plan, and $29.99 a year for the F1 TV Access annual plan.

For the additional cost each month or year, the new Premium tier is designed to offer a more immersive experience. Most notably this includes support for watching in 4K UHD/HDR and a personalized Multiview feature. The latter makes it possible for subscribers to watch the F1 live feed, onboard cameras and live timing pages together on the one screen.

As is the case with many other Multiview features available today, F1 TV’s version is only available on select devices. At launch, for example, F1 TV’s Multiview is only available when using Apple TV players, iOS devices, and the Chrome web browser.

Another improvement with the new Premium plan is the upgrade in simultaneous streams. Unlike the Access and Pro tiers, the new F1 TV Premium plan provides subscribers with the ability to watch live on up to 6 devices at the same time.

Since its launch, F1 TV has evolved to become one of the most sophisticated streaming platforms in sports. F1 TV Premium further elevates the viewing experience by allowing fans to create a personalised platform that enables them to become fully immersed in every incident, wheel to wheel battle and victory across all 24 races,” said Ian Holmes, Chief Media Rights and Broadcasting Officer at Formula 1.

For those considering signing up to the Premium plan, Formula 1 explained that the new tier is currently only available to purchase via the website (using the Chrome web browser), as well as directly on Apple TV, iOS, and Roku devices.
