Thanks to the launch of LG Radio+, the company’s new ad-supported audio streaming service, LG smart TV users now have access to a wide range of free audio content, including live stations and podcasts.

Now available in the U.S. and Korea, the exact selection of content an individual smart TV user has access to will depend on the location. In the U.S., for example, LG TV users have access to live stations including NPR, CNN Radio, and Fox Radio. This is in addition to popular podcasts including The Joe Rogan Experience.

In total, the new service has launched with a library of more than 14,500 channels in the U.S. and more than 440 in Korea.

With this being a free service, it is also an ad-supported service. As there doesn’t appear to be any intention to launch a paid, ad-free option, users can expect to listen to ads when using LG Radio+.

For those interested in getting started, LG Radio+ is available on LG smart TVs running a minimum of webOS 6.0. The app is now accessible through the LG Content Store as well as the Apps section on the company’s smart TVs.

With LG ThinQ app support available as well, LG users have the added option of accessing and managing audio content through the app.

The launch of LG Radio+ isn’t the only recent content upgrade, as LG Channels also received a healthy dose of new content this week. Thanks to a partnership with Amasian TV, LG Channels is now home to a variety of new Pan-Asian live TV channels.
