Roku Streaming Hours Totaled 38.7 billion In Q1 2026

Roku saw a jump in streaming hours during the first quarter of 2026, reporting a total of 38.7 billion hours during the first three months of the year.

A year ago, Roku reported 35.8 billion streaming hours for Q1 2025. With 38.7 billion reported today for the first quarter of this year, the company saw a year-over-year increase of almost 3 billion, an 8% YoY jump.

With around 37.9 billion streaming hours during the fourth quarter of 2025, Roku also saw an increase of close to 1 billion on the previous quarter.

Earlier this month, Roku confirmed that its Streaming Households is also continuing to grow, surpassing 100 million in April 2026.

In terms of revenue, total net revenue for the quarter totaled $1.25 billion, up 22% year over year.

Platform revenue totaled $1.13 billion during the quarter, an increase of 28% year over year, with the increase attributed to the strong performance of advertising and subscriptions.

Advertising revenue during the quarter totaled $613 million, a 27% year over year increase. On the subscription side of things, Roku reported $519 million in revenue, a 30% year over year increase,

When excluding Frndly TV, which Roku purchased this time last year, subscription revenue increased 23% year over year.

According to Roku, Q1 2026 was the company’s highest quarter ever for Premium Subscription sign-ups.

While no specific details on revenue for Howdy were provided, Roku did take a moment to confirm it is slowly expanding access to the new and affordable streaming service.

During the first quarter of this year, Howdy become available as a subscription option on Prime Video and as a standalone mobile app for Android and iOS.

In contrast to platform revenue, device revenue totaled $118 million for the most recent quarter, a 16% decline on the first quarter of 2025.
