Throughout August, Sling has been providing subscribers with free access to various premium networks for a limited time. Last week, for example, Sling TV subscribers had access to Showtime for free.

This weekend is the final free preview Sling is offering over the summer, and it unlocks access to MGM Plus. This MGM Plus free preview goes live on Friday (August 18th) and is scheduled to remain available up until Monday (August 21st).

During the free preview, existing subscribers can head over to the live guide to check out any of the available MGM live programming. Alternatively, search the On Demand section for any titles that are normally only available with the MGM Plus add-on.

For any existing subscribers that decide they would like to retain access to MGM Plus following the free trial, the add-on can be added to any of Sling TV’s base packages for an additional $5 a month.

The add-on not only unlocks access to MGM+, but also MGM+ Hits, MGM+ Marquee, and MGM+ Drive-In.

For those new to Sling TV, signing up over this weekend will also unlock access to the MGM Plus free preview. In fact, Sling is currently offering new subscribers the option to get the first month of MGM Plus for free when signing up.

In addition, Sling is also currently running a general half-off promotion which reduces the cost of the first month of a base plan by 50%.

MGM Plus is also one of the subscriptions that free Sling users can sign up to without having to also be signed up to the Sling Orange or Sling Blue base plan. That said, as Sling Free users won’t have access to the free MGM Plus preview this weekend, they won’t be able to check the service out for free before signing up.
