Sling TV plans now start at $46 a month, $6 more than the previous minimum monthly price. While Sling announced the price increase last month, the change in pricing officially took effect today, and applies to all new and existing subscribers.
As was the case before this latest price increase, subscribers in locations where ABC is offered as part of the channel lineup will have seen their Sling Orange or Sling Blue minimum price increase to $51 a month.
Even at the new, and higher, prices, Sling TV still remains considerable cheaper than many other live TV streaming services. It is also not alone in increasing in price this year. So far in 2024, Fubo, DirecTV, Philo, Hulu Live TV and YouTube TV, have all also increased in price to some degree.
For those that have yet to sign up to Sling TV, the streaming service continues to offer a 50% off promotion to new subscribers. With the price increase having now taken effect, this means new subscribers can now sign up to either the Sling Orange (with 30+ channels) or Sling Blue (with 45+ channels) plan from as little as $23 for their first month.
Alternatively, new subscribers can also sign up to the combined Orange & Blue plan from as little as $30.50 for their first month, half off the new $60.99 monthly price.
Again, if in an area where ABC is available, the minimum cost of the combined Orange & Blue plan increases to $65.99 a month, with the 50% discount then lowering the price down to $23 for the first month.
