The cost of Acorn TV quietly increased recently. Following the latest price increase, an Acorn TV subscription now costs $8.99 a month in the United States, and $10.99 a month in Canada.

Considering a monthly Acorn TV subscription in the U.S. was priced at $7.99 in April, the cost has increased by $1 a month, and $12 over the course of a full year.

For those that opt to pay for an entire year in advance, the annual Acorn TV plan now costs $89.99 a year ($109.99 CAD). While offering a saving of around $1.50 each month, the annual plan has increased by $10 a year.

The price increases officially took effect on Monday, April 30, 2025. As that was almost a month ago now, we anticipate the vast majority of existing subscribers are likely to have already encountered the price increase on their monthly bill.

According to Acorn TV, the price increase will allow the streaming service to continue offering the quantity and quality of content it provides to subscribers.

This adjustment will enable us to enrich our content library with thrilling exclusives and captivating series to ensure that we can continue bringing you what you love.”

The Latest AMC Networks Price Increase

Acorn TV is owned by AMC Networks, as is ALLBLK, AMC+, HIDIVE Shudder, and Sundance Now. While most of these streaming services didn’t increase in price at the same time, the cost of some has increased in recent months.

Shudder, for example, increased in price in early April, taking the cost of a monthly subscription from $6.99 to $8.99 a month. This also resulted in the cost of the annual plan increasing from $69.99 to $89.99 a year.

AMC+ increased in price in December. This price increase resulted in the cost of the ad-supported tier rising to $6.99 a month ($2 increase), and the ad-free plan increasing to $9.99 a month ($1 increase).

ALLBLK also increased in price in December, taking the monthly cost up to $6.99, and the annual price up to $69.99.
