Spectrum TV Select customers now get access to AMC+ as part of their live TV package, and at no additional cost. While Charter previously confirmed in September 2024 that customers would get access to AMC+, it has taken up until now for the additional subscription to become available.
Eligible Spectrum TV Select customers interested in redeeming their included AMC+ subscription can now do so through spectrum.com/getapp. Once redeemed, and an AMC+ subscription created, they will be able to access the streaming service on their Xumo Stream Box or any other device that’s supported by the streaming service.
For those completely new to AMC+, the streaming service offers access to a library of content that not only includes popular AMC titles like Dark Winds, Mad Men, Mayfair Witches, and new seasons from The Walking Dead Universe, but also content from BBC America, IFC Films Unlimited, Shudder, and Sundance Now. All of which makes it a good subscription to have access to, and especially at no additional cost.
For reference, the deal includes the ad supported version of AMC+, resulting in a monthly saving of $6.99 on the cost of a standalone subscription. Customers who are already subscribed to the ad-free version of AMC+ through Spectrum can now expect to see a $7 discount applied to their future bills, equivalent to the cost of an ad-supported AMC+ plan.
The addition of AMC+ follows Peacock, which became available to Spectrum TV Select customers just last week. In general, AMC+ joins a long list of subscription streaming services that Charter customers have gained access to over the past year.
Following a deal with Disney for Disney+ and ESPN+ in late 2023, Spectrum TV Select customers have also gained access to Max, Paramount+, and ViX in recent months.
