If you’ve been considering giving YouTube TV a try, new subscribers are currently being offered an extended three-week free trial when signing up. Considering the standard free trial is only seven days, this is a good way to test out the service for three times longer than usual.
While YouTube TV routinely offers extended free trials throughout the year, this one arrives just in time for football season, making it possible to watch week 1 through 3 before paying for a subscription. If football isn’t your thing, there’s still more than 100 live channels to enjoy during the first three weeks.
Along with the extended free trial, YouTube is also still offering an $8 monthly discount on the first four months of a subscription, bringing the cost down to $64.99 a month. With the $8 deal not due to end until October, signing up during the extended free period will still lock in the promotional price for those that decide to continue with YouTube TV.
If not planning to convert to a paid subscriber, it is important to remember to cancel the subscription before the free trial ends. Otherwise, the subscriber will find they are automatically billed the first monthly payment.
For reference, YouTube TV is also currently offering a seven-day free trial of NFL Sunday Ticket. However, the Sunday Ticket free trial is only available when signing up for the Sunday Ticket season pass and will be billed automatically after the first free week.
As NFL Sunday Ticket subscriptions through YouTube TV only remain accessible with an active YouTube TV plan, taking advantage of the seven-day Sunday Ticket free trial might not be the best option for anyone anticipating canceling YouTube TV at the end of the free trial.
